Historic homes, no fasteners that leave a mark
The houses through Meridian-Kessler are large, old, and built with materials that a standard clip will damage. Slate and tile roofs, copper gutters, cut stone, and original wood trim all need a fastener chosen for that specific surface. Nothing gets stapled and nothing gets nailed, and on some of these homes we will decline to fasten to a surface at all and design around it instead.
If your home is on or near Meridian Street, the scale is another factor. These elevations are tall enough that the equipment needed is a real consideration in the quote, and we would rather tell you that on the walk than discover it on install day.
Restraint reads as expensive
On a historic home, less is usually better. A precise, single-color roofline with the entry picked out looks far more appropriate on a 1920s brick home than a multicolor display with every element competing.
