The lake elevation is the one people see
A Geist home can look completely finished from the driveway and be entirely dark from the reservoir. On the water, the back of the house is the public face. Neighbors across the cove, anyone out on the water, and every property on the opposite shore sees the lake elevation, not the street.
We quote both sides on Geist properties as a matter of course. The water side usually has more glass, taller elevations, and a deck or terrace structure that takes lighting extremely well, and the reflection off the reservoir effectively doubles what you have installed.
Docks, boathouses, and the shoreline
Dock posts, boathouse rooflines, railings, and the tree line along the shore are all worth including. A lit dock reads across a surprising distance on open water, and it is usually a small addition to an install that is already happening.
Waterfront work has to be scheduled around weather more carefully than an inland install, which is another reason Geist properties should be booked early in the fall rather than in late November.
